ANDROID.AI.OS · ON-DEVICE AI
An AI assistant that lives on your phone and never leaves it, as an experiment.
android.ai.OS runs a small language model directly on an Android phone and gives it tools to act on the phone: files, calendar, email and voice triggers, without sending anything to a cloud AI. A model running on a real device has been demonstrated; the automation layer around it is still being built.
The waitlist is an email to our team. We write back when there is something you can use; nothing is stored on this page.
WHAT IT IS FOR
What it is being built to do.
LOCAL MODEL
A compact open model runs on the phone's own processor, so prompts and answers stay on the device.
PHONE ACTIONS
Scripts give the model tools: organise files, add calendar events, triage email, respond to a voice trigger.
A LOCAL DASHBOARD
A small dashboard served from the phone to watch what the assistant is doing.
WHERE IT STANDS · 23 SEPTEMBER 2026
Honest status.
EXISTS TODAY
- Build and setup scripts that compile and run an open-source model runtime (llama.cpp) on Android, with a model download script (January–February 2026).
- A shell query script and automation flow definitions; the project log records the model running on a device.
NOT BUILT YET
- The automation API (its routes are placeholders) and its authentication.
- Calendar and email automation (marked to do).
- An installable app: today it is set up by hand through a terminal on the phone.
No price yet. It is an experiment and not for sale. Nothing will be charged for it without a published price first.
